Excel can do more than what you think!

The AAPS Student Chapter organized an advanced Excel workshop to assist students and post-docs in learning some of the more advanced functions that are possible in Excel. The workshop was lead by Wenjun Kang, who has majors in computer and statistics and is currently a graduate student in the Department of Dentistry. The workshop explored the following topics:

1) Statistics (t-tests, ANOVA, and regression)

2) Macro

3) Goal seek

4) User Defined Constant, Function

5) Name Range , Relative/absolute Reference

6) Conditional Formatting

7) Indirect function and Data Merge use vlookup function

8) Tips (Data Transpose, Symbol, Panel Freeze)

The graduate students and post-docs that attended the workshop also had the opportunity to ask questions about Excel that were directly related to their research and data analysis.
