AAPS Student Chapter Cheer the Twins to Victory!
In the midst of a tight race for the divisional championship, the AAPS Student Chapter ventured to the Minneapolis Metrodome to cheer on the Minnesota Twins as they hosted the Detroit Tigers. Several chapter members participated in the University of Minnesota 's Chemistry Softball League during the summer, so when the opportunity arose to go watch the Twins play, several graduate students, post-docs and faculty members were excited to participate. Prior to the game we meet at Stub and Herbs, a campus pub, to celebrate the completion of the written preliminary exams that second year graduate students had to take and to share stories about our own experiences. The game had most people on the edge of their seats as the Twins rallied back in the late innings to beat the Tigers!
